Title Requirements

Champion

  • Judged by 4 diffferent judges without having been disqualified
  • Submission with payment of the Title Claim Form.

Grand Champion

  • 150 Champions defeated (Grand Champions defeated are not included)
  • One win in the top five cats in show

Double Grand Champion

Once a cat has achieved a Grand Champion title, they start counting how many Grand Champions they have defeated. Previous Champion counts do not count, so count from 0 once the Grand had been achieved.

  • 75 Grand Champions defeated under at least three different judges
  • One win in the the top three cats in the championship class

Master Grand Champion

  • 125 Grand Champions defeated under at least three different judges
  • One Best Cat award in championship class
  • (50 points over Double Grand)

Supreme Master Grand Champion

  • 175 Grand Champions defeated under at least three different judges
  • Two Best Cat awards in championship class
  • (50 points over Master Grand)

Other Honorary Titles & Awards

The following are additional titles that are awarded at the National Awards Banquet held each year upon completion of the show season. Winners are contacted by the CCA Office. All titles, with the exception of CNW and CRW, require completion and submission of a claim form and fee.
  • Canadian National Winner (CNW) - National Scoring Results are reported throughout the year on the Show Rules page and season winners are featured on the National Winners page. See Show Rules Article 15 Section 17 e
  • Canadian Regional Winner (CRW) - National Scoring Results are reported throughout the year on the Show Rules page. See Show Rules Article 15 Section 17 e
  • International Champion/Premier/Companion and International Grand Champion/Premier/Companion - Submission of Title Claim Formá and fee is required. See Show Rules Article 15 Section 17 a
  • Elite Merit - for stud cats that have produced 8 or more Grand Champion/Premier offspring and queens that have produced 3 or more Grand Champion/Premier offspring. See Show Rules Article 15, Section 17 d
  • Double & Triple Crown - For cats attaining more than one separate CNW titles (e.g CNW Kitten, CNW Champion, CNW Alter). For Household Pets, this is awarded for attaining a CNW title in more than one year. See Show Rules Article 15, Section 17 f
  • Grand of Distinction - For any cat that achieved 30 or more top 10/top 15 finals per season in three seasons. See Show Rules Article 15 Section 17 g
